This privacy statement is a register and data protection statement of Maija International Software Oy Ltd in accordance with the Personal Data Act (Sections 10 and 24) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal data collected
Categories of personal data
The following data may be collected, processed and stored in the course of our contractual relationship:
- correspondence and contact data (e.g. name, address, telephone, email address, job title, username, telephone and web meeting recordings, meeting minutes),
- technical data (e.g. IP address, website log information, login information, use of our services and tools, browser type, operating systems, browser plug-in types, version and audit history),
- contract data (e.g. billing and payment information, order form information, products requested, signature, audit history),
- vetting data (e.g. government-issued ID, whether you are on a politically powerful person or sanctions list, proof of property/business ownership, any court or civil court cases, media coverage),
- events and qualification data (e.g. courses taken, events attended).
Sources of personal data
We process personal data that we receive from:
- from the customer,
- from publicly available sources (e.g. registers, press, media, Internet, government sanction lists).
Collection and processing of personal data
Data is collected and processed on the following basis:
- contractual relationship or its preparation,
- processing is necessary for the performance of the services provided to the customer,
- consent (e.g. direct marketing requires the customer's consent),
- legal obligations (e.g. tax or anti-money laundering obligations).
Retention of personal data
We keep personal data for the duration of the contractual relationship and for 12 months after the end of the contract.
Right of access, rectification and prohibition
The customer has the right to check what information about him/her has been recorded in the register. The request for inspection should be sent in writing, signed and addressed to the person responsible for the register of the controller. Maija will respond to requests for inspection in writing, either by providing a copy of the customer's data or by informing the customer that no data concerning him/her are currently recorded.
The data controller is entitled to charge a reasonable fee for any additional information requested by the customer.
If there are errors in the customer's data, the customer may submit a request to the controller to correct the error. The customer has the right to object to the use of his/her data for direct marketing purposes by informing the controller.
The customer has the right to request the deletion of his/her data from the register. The request should be addressed to the person responsible for the register of the Controller mentioned above.
Disclosure of personal data
The information in the customer register will not be disclosed to third parties, except where required by law. However, data may be disclosed to Maija and its affiliated companies and partners in the event of the fulfilment of the aforementioned purposes or in connection with recovery.
Personal data will not be transferred outside the EU or the EEA unless this is necessary for the technical processing of the data.
Principles for the protection of the register
Personal data will be kept confidential. The data network and hardware of the web service provider of the controller are adequately protected from external firewalls and other technical protection measures.
